Abstract

Nanotechnology is a remarkable technique that has application in almost all fields of life. Classically, two basic methods such as the top-down or bottom-up constitute this advanced technique. Nanomaterial although smaller is size 10-100nm they have been utilized by many industries for variety of purposes. One such example is the use of these tiny molecules in food industry. Nanomaterials have broad range of implications in food industries such as food packaging, food safety, and development of texture, color, taste and even the presentation of food. Nanotechnology possess never ending perspective to our various industries. Nanoparticle obtained from the materials like carbon and silicon dioxide are have been a signature feature of nanobiotechnology. This review aims to discuss the prospect of nanotechnology in the food sector and emphasize on the use of various nanomaterials for food industry. In recent years nanotechnology has emerged as a new type of skill set that has revolutionized the food industry.
